The U.S. Army anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery M42 Duster was developed to act with tank troops and to perform anti-aircraft combat. Equipped with a pair of 40mm anti-aircraft cannons on an open-top turret (Based on the M41 Light tank). Powered by a 500hp engine, it was able to achieve speeds of up to 70km/h. First accepted into service with the U.S. Army in 1953, it proved to be an effective anti- aircraft weapons system. This 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit features belt type tracks that can be painted and attached using Tamiya cement. Highly accurately captured are the gun detail, loader’s seat, rifles and more in the interior. Includes three marking options included, offering a choice of U.S., Japan Ground Self Defense Force and former West German Army M42s. Re-releae oct 2019
