Pax Pamir is a cardgame for 2 to 5 players taking place in Afghanistan, 1823-1845. Assume the role of an Afghan tribal leader navigating the winds of colonial power in "The Great Game". If either the Russian or British Empire is able to achieve supremacy, you win if you have the most influence in that empire. What is a "paxgame"? Everyone knows what a wargame is: players assume Napoleon-like roles representing nations and maneuvering pawns across a mapfield. In a "paxgame", the players ARE the pawns. In Pax Pamir, 19th century Afghanistan is simulated as a "buffer region" between two superpowers, where the players manipulate the superpowers to their advantage.
